Totally enjoyed this romantic suspense by Christi Barth! Loved the main characters, and the setting (Charleston), which the author makes great use of. Despite investigating disappearances and being shot at, it's got more of a whodunit feel than many of the darker RS's I read, which was fun and different. Supporting cast is great too, from the hero's pack of friends to the bed and breakfast owner that takes the heroine under her wing. Barth is an author I'll continue to follow!Product details

The story started slow but built up quite well. But the editing was a large distraction. Duplicate chapters. Bits and pieces of chapters repeated in the chapters.
This book was a very good book. It had mystery and romance. It kept me guessing who was after her and who killer her friends. This book also had some humor in it too. I would highly recommend this book. It will keep you reading all day and night.
This story is well written and well edited. It has a great storyline. It's full of twists and turns; full of emotions love, friendship, suspense and dedication to see Justice done. Great read. Looking forward to reading other books written by this author.
The characters were good and the book had a real good storyline. The problem was all the bad editing and it made it hard to get through. There was a total of 3 different chapters that were repeated in the book, countless misspellings and words or sentences that were underlined. If you can get passed all that it would a 4 1/2 stars.
I enjoyed this book, but wasn’t wowed by it. The main characters both seem to get mad at the drop of a hat for most of the book. The investigative story was interesting, but I felt it was wrapped up a little too quickly at the end. I would have liked more details on what happed to the heroine’s best friend and a little more explanation for why the crime was committed. I thought the hero and heroine were perfect for each other, and loved his friends and her brother who joined the team in investigating the story. I would read other books by this author in the future.
I was really getting into this book even with all of its goof-ups. But then, chapters were replaced with duplicates of previous chapters and key information was lost. Made it really hard to concentrate. I bought this book on July 10, 2017. If it was known that there were problems and updates were done for it back in April of 2017, why on earth did I get the 'bad' version? And I never got an email from about any updates that were available for it. It isn't nice to waste your time reading a book only to find out that the book in question is full of more holes than a block of Swiss cheese! I am not a happy camper right now. I really don't want to place the blame on the author, but really?! Way to instill confidence in your products!
2.5 stars. Editing and proofreading? Stand-alone that is difficult to follow due to numerous issues.
The storyline and characters are interesting. The dialogue, actions and reactions are somewhat believable.

Numerous words are underlined throughout the book.
Duplicate groups of pages.
The name "Vanessa" is dropped in the story. No lead in as to who, what, when, etc.
You can not take a convertible car top up or down at speed.
How did the boat come in to play?
Why fax notes when they can be emailed and security is a concern?
I have read other work by this author and enjoyed it. This one was a disappointment.
No desire to re-read this story. Remember this is my personal opinion and does not reflect on the author.
